About

About the Bands:

Apogee: Sporting an erratic sound built by the most extreme noise to a sudden melodic whimper. Apogee wants to challenge what heavy music is defined as, with the absence of a screamed vocal replaced by soulful singing or a panicked yell. Keeping it crushingly heavy while still being music you could dance to. The live show is immersive and theatrical, while keeping a raw punk feel. Even with unusual stage antics, it keeps a consistent and tight performance from all four members. Apogee provides an aesthetic inspired by the likes of film-noir, retro-future and analog horror to compliment their sound. Apogee is dedicated to making every single bit of their social media presence immersive, from show announcements and recaps, to promo campaigns, secret dropbox folders and short films, all produced DIY and by the band.

Gravehouse: Gravehouse are one of the heaviest and most energetic up-and-coming bands that the Leeds punk and hardcore scene has seen in a long time. For a two-piece, their post-hardcore sound (influenced by hardcore, industrial and noise metal) is organ-grindingly aggressive and dark; paired with their high-energy live performances, they are definitely a band to keep an eye on - especially considering the recent release of their debut EP ‘Exports’ and the announcement of their upcoming single ‘Die In Harness'

Ambrossia: Ambrossia are an up-and-coming three-piece Metalcore band based in Leeds. Their music consists of elegant synths, with a combination heavy instrumentation, and powerful and melodic vocals sung in English and Hindi. Consisting of queer musicians, and fronted by a nonbinary person of colour, Music helps them express themselves, and the stage is where they can step away from the rest of the world and just focus on their persona and captivating stage presence. Similar artists and inspirations include 'SpiritBox,' 'Bad Omens,' and ‘Sleep Token'

Mirela: Mirela is an ethereal electronic-metal artist who’s sound consists of evocative melodies, poignant lyrics, and a powerful electronic soundscape that envelops the listener in a haunting embrace. The alchemy is a mix of Evanescence, the Smashing Pumpkins and System of a Down, amongst a plethora of more eclectic influences. Her live performances are an extension of the tracks. Mirela's stage presence is a captivating blend of vulnerability and intensity, as she channels the emotional depths of her music into an energetic ball of rage!
